Eternal Harvest
Welcome to Eternal Harvest.

This series began with a simple truth: I want to be a gardener, but I soon realised that I know next to nothing about what makes a garden a wonderful place to be.
Like many things in my life, I've learned the best way is by starting - reading, observing, asking questions, and paying attention to what works and what doesn’t.

These short notes are not expert advice. They’re small lessons gathered along the way as I learn about plants suited to Australian living, garden screens, summer vegetables, herbs, flowers, and the quiet rhythms of growing things in all seasons.

I don’t teach. I simply love to share what I learn. If you’re learning too, you’re very welcome here.
Learning the Garden, One Season at a Time

Philosophical Effects of Gardening
Gardening asks us to slow our bodies and soften our thoughts. In tending soil and growing food for those we love, we step into a quiet conversation with time, patience, and care. The act of providing nourishment from the earth grounds us in responsibility without burden, offering a sense of purpose that feels ancient and deeply human. To grow food is not only to feed the body, but to nurture presence, humility, and belonging, reminding us that to care for life, in any form, is also to care for ourselves.
